Mr Attaf receives phone call from Egyptian counterpart

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Saturday, a phone call from his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel-Atty, who extended his condolences, in the name of the Arab Republic of Egypt, brotherly country, following the tragic bus fall in Oued El Harrach (Algiers).

The call enabled the two ministers to continue consultation and coordination around questions of common interest, namely the Palestinian cause.

In this respect, the two parties discussed the latest developments linked to the resumption by the Israeli occupation of its expansionist plans, underscoring that the future of peace in the Middle East depends on halting the genocidal war against the Palestinian people, ending Israeli expansionist delusions, and accelerating the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state within 1967 borders with Al-Quds as its capital.

The two ministers also addressed the developments of the situation in the State of Libya, brotherly country, and reaffirmed their attachment to a definitive settlement of the Libyan crisis, capable of preserving the sovereignty of this country, the unity of its people and the integrity of its territory, and of consolidating peace, security and stability in the region.

The two parties discussed the preparations for the upcoming meeting of the tripartite mechanism of Libya’s neighboring countries, which will be held in Algiers.
